'Wombat Stew' is a beloved children's book written by Marcia K. Vaughan and illustrated by Pamela Lofts. The story revolves around a dingo who wants to make a tasty stew using a wombat as the main ingredient, but the other animals in the forest come to the rescue of the wombat, adding various items to the pot to make the stew taste awful.
